Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 11 June 2026 · Conformance target: WCAG 2.2 Level AA · EN 301 549 v3.2.1

We want every business — regardless of ability — to be able to recover funds with us. We build to WCAG 2.2 Level AA and test with real assistive technology users every quarter.

1. Conformance status

UnblockFunds aims to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and to the European harmonised standard EN 301 549 v3.2.1. Our public website and signed-in application are partially conformant — most of the platform meets the standard, with a few known exceptions described below.

2. Measures we take

  • Accessibility considered from design through release — every PR ships with axe-core checks.
  • Keyboard navigation supported throughout, with visible focus indicators.
  • Screen-reader testing on every major release (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack).
  • Colour contrast meets 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and UI components.
  • Forms use semantic labels, error messages and ARIA live regions.
  • Motion is minimised; users with prefers-reduced-motion see no non-essential animation.
  • Documents we generate (engagement letters, demand letters) are tagged PDFs.

3. Assistive-technology compatibility

Tested with: NVDA + Firefox, JAWS + Chrome (Windows), VoiceOver + Safari (macOS, iOS), TalkBack + Chrome (Android), Dragon NaturallySpeaking, ZoomText, and OS-level zoom up to 200%.

4. Known limitations

  • A small number of older case-history PDFs are scanned images and not OCR'd. We will provide a tagged equivalent on request within 5 business days.
  • The drawn signature pad in onboarding requires pointer input; a typed-signature alternative is available — choose "Type signature" in the onboarding step.
  • Some third-party document previews (legacy bank statements) inherit accessibility limitations from the source file.

5. Reporting a barrier

If you encounter any accessibility barrier on our website or in the application, please tell us. We will respond within 5 business days and aim to resolve issues within 30 days.

  • Email: accessibility@unblockfunds.com
  • Phone: +353 1 906 0190 (Mon–Fri 08:00–19:00 GMT)
  • Post: Accessibility Lead, UnblockFunds Ltd, 12 St Stephen's Green, Dublin 2, Ireland

6. Formal enforcement

EU users who are dissatisfied with our response can contact the national accessibility enforcement body in their Member State. In Ireland this is the National Disability Authority (nda.ie). UK users may escalate to the Equality and Human Rights Commission. US users may invoke the ADA via the Department of Justice.

7. Continuous improvement

We commission an external accessibility audit annually and publish the executive summary here when complete. The next audit is scheduled for Q4 2026.
